What is Reiki? Reiki translates as ‘Universal Life Force’ or ‘Breath of the Universe’ amongst others.

The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”.

Reiki is a form of hands on healing, whereby I channel universal energy through my hands into your body and the surrounding aura. It sounds a bit odd but it is deeply relaxing and helps shift energetic blocks and allow us to move forward.

Reiki is great for so many things, including:

  • Stress relief
  • Deep relaxation
  • General feeling of wellbeing
  • Balancing Chakra’s
  • Clearing energetic blockages
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Insomnia
  • Moving forward in life
  • Treating physical ailments
  • Releasing trauma
  • Supporting the grieving process

I have found Reiki to be particularly useful when dealing with bereavement as it is very supportive of the grieving process and allows the person to just to be in the moment without having to think about or feel anything in particular. Reiki supports you to process your feelings in your own time and way.

A Reiki treatment with me is usually an hour long but can be longer or shorter depending on your needs. When you receive a treatment you are fully clothed and snuggled in blankets, you will usually feel warmth and relaxation emanating from my hands. Reiki works on various levels incorporating emotional, physical, mental and spiritual aspects.

I run Reiki workshops throughout the year to initiate and attune others to Reiki, my next teaching event is:
